Another key member of the conference team is Chris Panter. Chris is Technical Director at Footprint Ecology, where he has worked since 2014. His interests lie in big data, analysis and GIS, and how these techniques are used in nature conservation, particularly heathlands. Prior to joining Footprint, Chris worked at the University of East Anglia, and was part of the team which produced the Breckland Biodiversity Audit. This approach collated species observations and coded rare species for their management requirements to assess the important habitats, structures and management actions unique to the area. At Footprint Ecology, he leads on all data and spatial analysis, but also on visitor surveys which have been conducted at many heathland sites, including, the Dorset heaths, Cannock Chase, New Forest, Ashdown Forest and Pebblebed Heaths.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
