Update 15th July 2024: The agenda is almost finalised and bookings are rolling in. The conference will address key heathland issues, focusing on; working as partnerships, rewilding, heathland ecology and management, climate change and the monitoring of successes and failures.
The talks aim to cover a wide range of sites across the country and into Europe, and a diverse range of topics. Common themes will be around the importance of scale and the differing strategies that are needed, context, and the challenges and opportunities we face.
This, our 13th National Heathland Conference, will be based in Purbeck, Dorset and include a day of site visits to the recently formed Purbeck Heaths NNR.
