We suggest bringing a name badge if you have one please (blank badges available if not).
Venue: Springfield Country Hotel, Grange Road, Wareham, Dorset BH20 5AL. There is a large car park.
Day 1 timings: The NHC team will be at the hotel reception on Tuesday morning from 10am until lunchtime to welcome you to the Conference. There is an optional morning session starting at 10:30 to discuss approaches to strategic mitigation. This is to make the most of the time available while people are arriving from further afield.
Day 1 lunch: A buffet lunch is provided.
Day 1 dinner: Be aware that the hotel is NOT open for bar meals on Tuesday evening as previously stated on the agenda. All delegates staying in the hotel are booked in for dinner, but day delegates are NOT, unless already agreed with us. Dinner will be a 3 course buffet.
Day 2 timings: Coach transport will leave from the venue. Please meet in the hotel car park for 9am. There are two versions of the same field trip, so it doesn’t matter which coach you board.
Day 2 lunch: The two groups will be meeting up for lunch at Burnbake Campsite (toilets available). A lunch made from local produce is included for everyone booked onto Day 2. This has been made possible by a generous donation from Alaska Ecological Contracting Ltd., based in Wareham.
Be aware that there is a reasonable amount of walking on Day 2, so we suggest suitable attire and footwear. If you have any mobility concerns, please let us know.
We suggest bringing a drink for Day 2.
Day 2 dinner: All Day 2 delegates are automatically booked in for dinner on Day 2, unless already opted out. Dinner will be a 3 course buffet.
Day 3 timings: The NHC team will be at the hotel reception on Thursday morning from 8am to welcome you to the Conference.
Day 3 lunch: A buffet lunch is provided.
